Episode #738
1/24/2021
With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow
This is a continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #736
Writing on spiritual warfare and our position as a believer. The words to write are given by One Shepherd.
Martha:
Another thing I see John, is that warfare is not gaining victory.
Warfare is believing in the Absolute Victory that’s already taken place.
John:
Yes.
Martha:
The war is over, folks.
John:
And I cannot wait …
Martha:
And we are merely to take the stand that’s over.
John:
… I can’t wait for that book to come out.
Martha:
What?
John:
I can’t wait for that book to come out.
Martha:
Me too.
John:
The Won War. W-O-N
Martha:
And that has to be a revelation.
John:
Totally. And I believe you have a Living Impartation for that.
Martha:
Do you really?
John:
I do.
Martha:
O wonderful.
John:
And I’m, I’m ready for it to be birthed and to get out there.
Martha:
Ok
John:
I’m begging God.
Martha:
We are going on a writer’s retreat. John is, has the first book in print (The Sovereign Touch). The second book (The Great Exchange) is coming…
John:
It’ll be, we’ll be coming back the day it comes out.
Martha:
Is that right?
John:
And then I’ll get them all out. Yep.
Martha:
Wow. Oh that’s really soon.
John:
Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Martha:
We know there have been big delays because of the COVID.
John:
Right. And the holidays. The holidays have put some delay in it.
Martha:
We will be going on a writer’s retreat and we solicit your prayers.
John:
Please!
Martha:
It makes such a difference when people are praying, doesn’t it, John?
John:
It really does.
Martha:
Literally you can feel…it. And it’s, this is not a complaint, but it’s a statement …
John:
Mmm hmm
Martha:
Writing is the hardest work I’ve ever done…
John:
Right.
Martha:
Because it’s a work of your entire being.
John:
Yeah. You’re squeezing into it. You feel like you’ve run a marathon when you’re done…
Martha:
Mmm hmmm. I did not know that about writing.
John:
… at least I do.
Martha:
It is, it takes, it drains every bit of energy out of you because it’s so, you have to be so intense.
John:
Yeah.
Martha:
I have to be hearing, speaking, writing …
John:
Yep
Martha:
considering …
John:
Yep
Martha:
organizing, all at the same time. And it’s the work of the Spirit.
John:
It is.
Martha:
I’m not negating. He, the Holy Spirit is the One who brings forth a book.
John:
Right.
Martha:
And so we need to pray to be filled with the Spirit, led of the Spirit, inspired by the Holy Spirit, that’s Who we need, and that’s the prayer I need. And you need. So, oh Hallelujah, it’s gonna be great.
John:
I’m trying to finish the, uh, the booklet on Overcoming Anxiety. That’s my goal.
And uh, what’s your goal?
Martha:
I think I’m probably going to work on The Won War.
John:
Really ?
Martha:
I want to. I’ll have to see if that’s the Lord’s choice. But that’s where my heart is going.
John:
Wow
Martha:
And I want, I want it out too, because it’s how to …
John:
It is your book on warfare.
Martha:
yeah .. (soft laugh)
John:
It is your book on warfare. And it is so vital and so important and it is so an amazing revelation of what warfare really is. I’ve heard lots about warfare.
Martha:
Oh yeah, weren’t we in the charismatic days. Warfare was a big topic.
John:
Yep yep yep. Put on your boots.
Martha:
Mmm hmm
John:
And stomp around and you know, the bride with her combat boots and wedding dress and blah blah blah. We’ve heard all that mess. And uh, but you have, you have a revelation about warfare that I have witnessed works. And uh, and oh God, please, please Jesus, please.
Martha:
And when He gives us faith in the Victory, then we have the secret that the war has been won. The war is over.
John:
Yeah. Hmm
Martha:
And all the weapons of the enemy have been destroyed. All the techniques of the enemy have been destroyed. The enemy can… Ok, I won’t get into it but (laughs) that’s what I would like to, that’s what I feel like my heart is and my spirit are craving. So we’ll see.
John:
Whether you’re, you’re finishing the sequel to the Joy Unequalled to Being Nothing…
Martha:
Mm hmm
John:
Or doing that, or I mean there is, there’s not like there’s not like there’s not stuff available.
Martha:
(soft laugh) And then there’s the Bride …
John:
Right, It’s whatever the Spirit is going to turn His Light on…
Martha:
Yeah.
John:
… and Life on!
Martha:
And there’s considerable warfare when we go to, go to write. Lots of distractions happen and try to happen, and, so we, it makes a difference when we have support in prayer. And the Shulamites pray so faithfully and equip us for the trip. So I’m excited about it.
Well, let me just give you a teaser. Actually, we do not fight. The Lord of Hosts is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies and when Daniel prayed, he didn’t fight the enemy in person. He had experiences. But when Daniel prayed for the victory, it was the angels who fought. He, he prayed and they came, and Michael said I’ve been praying two weeks. (laughs) And I’m sorry I’m not remembering the exactness of that. But, but he didn’t fight – he prayed. And the answer was the war that took place in the heavenly realms.
John:
He got in alignment with what God was doing in the heavens.
Martha:
And it’s so exciting …
John:
Right…
Martha:
Because it says Heaven’s armies … it took me a long time for that to register. Heaven’s armies. The Lord of Hosts. That is, that means the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And we read over that and don’t realize it is speaking of Armies. Armies of angels. And they are at, I believe they are at our command. And at our, are our answer to our prayers. That is how it was with Daniel. He prayed, the answer was angels. So our work really is prayer.
John:
Is our work faith to believe what is being done?
Martha:
Yes.
John:
Mmm
Martha:
Yes, and it’s not that we’re not warriors, but it’s just, you have to know exactly what your job is as a warrior. It’s not to gain the ground. It’s to stand in defense of the ground.
John:
Right
Martha:
The ground has been gained. By Christ.
John:
Yeah. The post that went up, last week. I hope you’ll go back and read it. It’s, I talk about spiritual warfare and where our strength is in spiritual warfare.
Martha:
I will. Last week’s ?
John:
Mmm hmm. It’ll be last week’s by this time.
Martha:
…post
I was speaking with someone that is so rich in revelation and i just keep saying, “did you write that down?” And she keeps saying, “no”. And I keep saying, please write it down because you are a writer. Your revelation is needed. Then I was, I took her to Ecclesiastes, and it was such fun. Because this is really the prayer for the writer. At the end of Ecclesiastes he says, “ In addition to being a wise man, the preacher also taught the people knowledge. And he pondered, searched out, and arranged many proverbs. The preacher sought to find delightful words to write words of truth correctly. The words of wise men are like goads…” How would you, a knife?
John:
I always see it as a poker but, but
Martha:
That’s what it is. Goad is a poker. “The words of wise men are like goads. And masters of these collections are like well driven nails. They are given by one Shepherd.” The words to write are given by one Shepherd. And you can turn that into prayer and say, ‘Father, let the Holy Spirit give the words to express Himself.’ So when, in 1 Corinthians Paul said, ‘I combine spiritual words with spiritual revelation.’ There has to be a receiving, so that the Source is the Lord. That’s what we want. In everything. We want the source of our joy to be the Lord, the Source of everything is the Lord. What?
John:
..that’s a goad – It’s a hook and a point.
Martha:
That would be piercing for sure.
John:
I just pulled pictures of what a goad looks like. It is a …
Martha:
A spear – looking…
John:
It is a poker as well as a crook.
Martha:
laughing
John:
And It’s all in the same thing, and I’m like wooo, yeah that would get me moving. Laughs. Ok, got it ! And if I was going off a little ways, you could hook me right right back in to line. Wow wee.
Martha:
There’s something here in Ecclesiastes that is chapter 11 verse 10:
So remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.
And that’s some of the things that we’ve been doing and working and praying for with people, is the removing of grief and anger. This pain, every life has pain. And there’s an enormous solution when you can release your pain to the Lord.
John:
Mmm. Yeah. Sure
Martha:
And that has to do also with resist not the evil men do to you. Which is a, which is a message. Is that my message of the month?
John:
That’s, that’s your new year’s message. Resist not the evil …
Martha:
Oh ….
The Warfare, Writer and Writing – Episode #738 – Shulamite Podcast
When the Lord gives us faith in the Victory, then we have the secret to spiritual warfare, that the war has been won. The war is over.
You stretched out the view Martha, heaven’s realm active! How all encompassing is God’s orchestration. God’s power, majesty & authority, with heaven & earth moving in concert. All God Values, is IN, His Victory! Value & Victory are companions. “So, remove grief & anger from your heart & put away pain from your body..” A clear word & work of the Spirit…close to my heart…& prayer for others. My heart experienced ‘the Lord valuing’…His value…Given, for no reason whatever. Blood Value. Love Value. To measure anything as the world measures, there would be nothing to measure at all. Victory in the Word, sometimes astonishing, some not seeming to be Victory…yet of greatest Value & Victory. Christ…the ALL Victory! Christ…the only point of reference to Victory. Faith in Christ’s Victory, in prayer, to bring His “Enormous Solution” to the heartache we see around us….that doesn’t need to be…. “Trophies of Christ’s Victory”!
Would love to hear more about faith in Victory and prayer in warfare. Many times when there is spiritual warfare that is personal, within family relationships or within the Body of Christ; when it’s in your face and it distracts and brings confusion – there can be a tendency to retreat, but this is the time to ask for faith; to stand and to pray (writing to myself). How many times do we read that small portion in Ephesians, about the armor of God, that we are commanded to stand. Thank you so much for these words of encouragement!
It is a joy to be praying for you both on your writer’s retreat.
Many blessings!
the war is over ….. the victory is at hand …..
and the book has been written …..
all is needed is for the words to kiss the paper ….
❤️
Absolutely beautiful way of seeing it. And perfectly true. The book has been written, I have told Martha this and rejoiced. All that remains is the KISS! Love you BIG Andrea, thank you!
