With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow

This the continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #715
The Kingdom is tested now to see whether we prefer our comfort and ease to being engaged in the training for ruling and reigning for eternity

Martha:
Well, John, our Methodist Church in Dahlonega and the pastor is Steve Schofield…The Wesleyan Covenant which is a, a Methodist movement I’ll call it, is calling for awakening and they have a…There’s a wonderful writer, Dave Thomas, that has described travail, weeping travail. That’s what I went into, I believe, when I saw the tragedy and the judgment and the terrible things. And, and I, I’m asking for that and for fasting. That’s, that’s what churches who are on it are asking for; travail of prayer where the weeping is from the Holy Spirit and we get in touch with the Holy Spirit’s grief and the weeping is a powerful form of prayer; and fasting.

So let’s put our hearts out there and be involved in the solution. That’s…I’m going, I’m going…I think we’ll be doing more podcast about this, don’t you?

John:
I really do. I think, I think there’s a whole lot that, that’s being stated and out there that everybody may not be, be hearing that are, that’s really good.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
And, and that’s, you know…Yes. The intercession, the absolutely, the weeping, the travail, the birthing…

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
But, you know, there’s also the involvement that we’re supposed to all have…

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
…in our nation.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
We’re not supposed to lay back and that’s one of the big things that, that Lance talks about is that, you know, forty percent of all Christians just don’t even vote. They just lay back and they say, “Well, the world, you know, the United States and the Nation is, is going to hell in a hand basket and we’re just going to keep up with the kingdom.” Well, that’s, that’s really not the way it works.

Martha:
Um hmm. We are supposed to pray…

John:
We’re…

Martha:
…for our leaders.

John:
We’re supposed to pray for our leaders, we’re supposed to be responsible, we’re supposed to vote, we’re supposed to do our civic duties.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
And I, I really like the, the to, to go and gather all the scriptural basis of our being involved like that one scripture that says about, it says,

“Messiah will inherit the nations.”

Ok. So if Messiah is inheriting the nations, but we’re refusing to be a part of the nations, that we’re just keeping up with our little area over here and, and…No, He wants nations. He wants nations.

Martha:
The primary call to Christians is to make disciples.

Go and make disciples of the nations…

John:
Of the nations.

Martha:
…and teach them.”

John:
And you don’t do that by being separated.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John
By not getting involved with, with your government and, and, and thinking that, you know, you’re…This, this is…One of the statements that blew my mind that Lance said is that the church was unwilling to be involved with anything with the government and now the government is involved with the church. Ok, you don’t want to make your stand, you don’t want to take your stand, you don’t want to exercise your God-given authority as an ambassador of a kingdom that is higher than any other kingdom? You want to let that, you want to let that kingdom…

Martha:
Perish.

John:
…perish and languish because you don’t want to get involved because it’s too much work or it’s busy and, and it, it…

Martha:
We are busy with spiritual things.

John:
It’s scary because He’s says, “Ok, well, then you let it languish and then that, that same government is going come and persecute you.”

Martha:
Um hmm. Wow.

John:
Now, now we’ve got, we have the church in, in at least in California and a couple of other places, we have the church being persecuted as they’re saying, “You can’t sing. You can’t meet. You can’t even do it in homes. And we’re going to send people around to check on you to make sure you’re not doing home meetings, that you’re complying.” Ok, that’s persecution. And, again, I’m, I’m not making any statements about or, or against or whatever and saying, “Oh, this is evil and we have to fight it.” I’m not saying that. I’m saying we have to listen to God.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
Listen to why..

Martha:
We have a situation here.

John:
We have a situation here.

Martha:
And we have to be real.

John:
Exactly. And we have to go, we have to go to the King and find out why and what’s going on.

Martha:
And what our part is.

John:
Exactly. And, and if my part is because I have laid back on my duties and, and on my responsibilities and I’ve not exercised the authority that Christ…You, you, we’ve, we’ve said it. What is it? Who says that? If you don’t use the authority God gives you, Satan will…

Martha:
Satan will take from you and use it against you.

John:
And that’s what’s happening.

Martha:
That’s what happening.

John:
We have not used our authority. We as the children of God and children of the kingdom we are hidden with God in the heavenlies. But we’re to bring heaven to earth.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
And if we don’t do that, we deserve…

Martha:
Thy kingdom come. Come! Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

John:
That’s, oh, gosh, that’s beautiful. And if we don’t do that, we deserve every bit of backlash that come comes against us.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
Church wake up! That’s what, that’s what this, this is being said. You want a proclamation? There it is. Church wake up! You have been given authority to rule and reign and you’re being trained to rule and reign for all eternity and if you forgo that training, you will not be ready for kingdom living. And that’s the tragedy. Look higher! Don’t look at just the, the menial things that are going on. They’re just, they’re literally just symptoms of, of deeper issue here. We as the kingdom of God, as the children of God are being trained to reign and rule for eternity. And if we are literally AWOL, then we deserve, we deserve to be, we deserve all the backlash that comes; we deserve it. And I’m, I, I, I want to make a call. Please let’s, let’s rise up.

Martha:
Um hmm. I believe it’s Nee who mentions the scripture that says you pray for good government that we may live in peace. In other words we need good government…

John:
Right.

Martha:
…so that we can do the churches business.

John:
Right.

Martha:
And it’s not as tough there’s… Even, even Jesus gave Caesar…

John:
What is Caesar’s.

Martha:
…what is Caesar’s. And…

John:
I mean, you know, there is an involvement that we have to have because we’re in this world.

Martha:
Um hmm. We, we are. Um hmm.

John:
You don’t have to be entangled…

Martha:
Or obsessed.

John:
…or obsessed. But you have to be involved. And often we’re more involved with what the media is saying about what’s going on than actually what is going on. And that’s another tragedy. That’s not reigning and ruling. That’s being led. That’s being led by a, a different realm…What the, the early sphere of, of influence and the demonic realm and the…You know, that, that’s, not being in the heavens.

Martha:
Right.  You know John my scripture is the formula.

You who receive the abundance of grace

Abundance of grace! Need to know those two words.

…and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one Christ Jesus.

That is, I consider that a mandate.

John:
It’s a mandate, absolutely.

Martha:
And it gives you the keys.

John:
Yeah.

Martha:
Abundance of grace and gift of righteousness.

John:
And it’s for a deep purpose.

Martha:
Eternal.

John:
Eternal purpose. Eternal position. You’re earning an eternal position. You’re, you’re showing yourself approved for eternity.

Martha:
Yes.

John:
And if you refuse to do it, you are forfeiting your heavenly…

Martha:
Your own destiny.

John:
…destiny, absolutely.

Martha:
Not to mention…

John:
We’re not talking about salvation.

Martha:
…the purpose of God not being achieved.

John:
I’m not talking about salvation.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
I don’t know that. I don’t have that. But I do know that it is about reigning and ruling with Him forever. I can guarantee…

Martha:
It starts now.

John:
…I can guarantee you if you’re not reigning now…

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
…it’s not like you’re going to be promoted to reign in, in heaven. There’s just no way. Why would He take somebody who is lack luster and did nothing here and wouldn’t take up their, their position, wouldn’t utilize the authority given, why would He say, “___” No, every single parable talks about…look at the, look at the talents, the one who buried it; weeping and gnashing of teeth…

Martha:
And darkness.

John:
…and darkness. And the others that invested? What did they get? They got more in heaven. It’s an eternal kingdom principal.

Martha:
Um hmm.

John:
And if we will…If we’re refusing the principals of the kingdom and we’re refusing to take our place and refusing to be who we are, then unfortunately we’re going to pay the price and I don’t want to, I don’t want to be one that is going to be in the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth. I don’t know what that is. Hell? I don’t know. I don’t think it’s hell. I just think it’s in a place of…

Martha:
Regret.

John:
…of regret that you preferred your comfort and you preferred your ease to being…

Martha:
God’s purpose; being a servant of God’s purpose, which is sons and nations.

John:
It’s, it’s frightening. It’s absolutely frightening. And it’s crucial. This is crucial. This is all crucial.

Martha:
You call frightening that which is frightening; the eternal consequences.

John:
Yeah.

Martha:
Not the immediate comfort zone. That’s the crisis.

John:
Right.

Martha:
People started asking us early on, John, to, what is God saying to you now. And, and I think He is giving us a message…

John:
Yeah I do.

Martha:
…that we’ve waited for.

John:
I do, too. I really…This is as, this is as clear as I’ve ever said it.

Martha:
I’m, I’m amazed at what you’ve gotten, John. And you’re in a position of authority for a lot of people really.

John:
Yeah.

Martha:
And I’m so grateful the work you’ve done and the surrender and the hearing; the work of listening and being in reality. I appreciate it so much.

John:
It’s taken a lot of time and it’s taken…

Martha:
I’m sure.

John:
…a lot of dying and, and I’ve done, you know, done it wrong. But I’m listening.

Martha:
And He is speaking.

John:
He is.

Martha:
That is for sure.

John:
So…

Martha:
Let’s leave with this issue of His specific will for each person. And we pray that all those who follow us and listen to us that you will know the will of God for you.

John:
Yeah.

Martha:
And that will be the safest possible place because when you have the will of God, you’re in the kingdom of God.

John:
Exactly.

Martha:
If you’re in the kingdom of God, you’re in the safety and protection of the kingdom.

John:
And you have the provision of the kingdom.

Martha:
Yes.

John:
Everything that you need…

Martha:
Exactly.

John:
…to, to accomplish your life and your destiny is given to you in the will of God.

Martha:
Um hmm. Right.

John:
And it’s time for Christians to rise up and to be who they are.

Martha:
Hmm. Be who they are. There is the challenge; children of God.

John:
Yeah.

Martha:
Sons of God. Wow!

John:
And that’s not arrogance. That’s not presumption.

Martha:
No. It’s responsibility.

John:
It is. It is.

Martha:
It’s not presumption.

John:
Exactly. That’s exactly it.

Martha:
So thank you, John. I stand for a lot of people who will bless you for this wisdom and seeking it out. Thank you.

John:
I didn’t even know it was going to come out. So there you go!

Martha:
Our gain.

John:
I’ve had it boiling in there but I didn’t, I didn’t know what I was going to say. But I’m glad I said it. And now I’m going to let you, we’re going to turn this off and I’m going to let you read the post if you like.

Martha:
Oh, I’m so thankful.

John:
I have control of the, the little button…

Martha:
Oh dear.

John:
…so you can’t run back on here and tell everybody what it’s about.

Martha:
Oh, I can’t? You can turn the mike off permanently.

I know that you will be gracious to share it. God has given it to you for people that you will give this message…

John:
It’s going to come out…

Martha:
…as soon as you can.

John:
Oh, yeah, yeah. It will actually, you’ll, it will be on the, on the blog before this podcast will come out.

Martha:
Wow. Ok.

John:
So go the bottom here. Go and look at the link and you can read it. So this is good.

Martha:
Amen.

John:
Amen

Our Destiny and Training for Ruling and Reigning – Episode #718 – Shulamite Podcast

If we are not ruling and reigning now, it is not like we are going to be promoted to a ruling position in heaven. It is about exercising the authority on earth as a training to do it in heaven.

  1. Helen says:

Nothing ambiguous here! Get ready! God will take us at our word, as we take Him at His! This elicits deeper choice, & allegiance—not a closed allegiance, but one so true He can do as He pleases. I cried out, “Lord, I will, move in the authority You’ve given me, in my designated purpose & place.” And that opens a panorama of the Holy Spirit’s movement beyond all ‘man-limited-idea’s’ of authority & purpose. This is God’s business, in His willing hearted people. Talk, agree, is one thing, Live it! is another. “It’s time for Christian’s to rise up & be who they are…Sons of God…That’s not arrogance, presumption…it’s responsibility ” Yes!
Will we bear His speaking? Can God speak to us freely, deeply, expectantly, the ‘go’ without the ‘know’, intimately, commandingly, in persevering, in the heat of conflict? Oh God, give us unhindered, faith-filled hearing, with hearts quick to obey, moving in sync with You.
SOS 5:2 TPT, takes us to the scene of His travail, & His call to the Bride to join Him in it. “Arise my live…open your heart…deeper still…I need you this night to arise & come be with me…….” (Excerpts) This scene is gripping in full.
The suffering of Christ extends out to all He sees in light of all He’s Given in His unfathomable Love. For the Bride He is, the, Awake and Arise! Oh Spirit of the Living God! Go where You Will, do as You please, in us…through us!
Thank you John, for your deep listening to give this message.

    1. I was fired up for this one for sure. Thank you for listening to what I heard Helen. The amazing thing is that it is all “for such a time as this.” We are not here by mistake; we were designed to flourish during this very time. This is His choice of our training ground to rule and reign. And while this time has often been discouraging, it is perfectly set up by HIM. I will be grateful and it helps me to know it is His choice. Love you Helen!

  2. Nancy says:

The Lord’s calling and choosing you both, John and Martha, to be leaders in a vast vanguard that has been nurtured in His heart thru the faithfulness of obedience. May the Lord complete in each one reading and hearing His heart’s cry for intercession through these messages be fulfilled in Christ. His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The intercession the Lord has led me into has been based on verses from 1 Corinthians 15:20-26,27 a song He birthed, gave me in the night watch:
    The earth is Your footstool,
    Heaven your throne,
    One of these days,
    You’ll return for Your own.
I wait on You Lord, to reveal Your will—
On You oh Lord do I wait and Be still.
    Love and blessings.

    1. Dear Nancy, what a treasure of your prayer, the Word and a Song. I will print your poem on a card.
Thank you for sharing your worship with us all. Thanks to God!

  3. Sandy says:

I also say Amen! May the Wind blow down on us…and may we be taken…

    1. Martha Kilpatrick says:

Dear Sandy, I read your comment. Then I read it again and I was struck by the prayer: “and may we be taken”
And I say AMEN! Much love to you and yours.
