One Mind Under the Head

Living in the reality of One Mind Under the Head, who is Christ, is where safety is found because it is the Will of God.
Martha:
So it’s crucial. We can’t, we are under the Headship of Christ by being filled and led by the Spirit.
Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.
The Holy Spirit comes and then He conveys the will of God to you. He’s also, the Holy Spirit also is to convey to us the gifts and provisions of God, which are endless. Which…Oh, we haven’t begun to receive what can, the Head of the church can pour out on His body. And that’s, that I hope is going to be the passion that rises in this generation under this, these crises is the passion to know the will of God, to come under the head of God by submission to His authority. The whole crisis is about authority.
John:
And it may, it may be specifically positioned to bring that about. All this crisis…
Martha:
Yes.
John:
…may, may be…
Martha:
Yes.
John:
…set up.
Martha:
May it be so. Yes.
John:
That we would function this way. We haven’t functioned this way.
Martha:
Right. And you know I’ve prayed for years about Shulamite Ministry that we would be of one, we would be of the same mind. And I thought that meant the same kind of thinking, the same values. Oh no, it means one mind…
John:
One mind.
Martha:
…for every, millions of Believers. One mind, one thought, one who has the thoughts and, and we do not originate any of it. We have to hear it.
John:
Right.
Martha:
We have to hear it by the Spirit. So it sets the conditions very clearly how to function that way. The Holy Spirit is to convey also what Christ has laid up in store for us. And we are…The Holy Spirit is supposed to come and show us what we’ve been given so we can receive it. So it’s all perfectly arranged by God and very simple. What we make of it is too complex. It’s very simple. I submit my mind to the mind of Christ.
John:
Well, you hear much about the transcendent church but, and, and that sound very ethereal and very high-minded but the, all the transcendent church is is a church body that is under one mind. That’s all.
Martha:
Yes.
John:
That’s it.
Martha:
Yes. And we have access. That’s why the…Oh, the function of the church then…Anybody can be in the church easily.
John:
Yes.
Martha:
And it’s a life change. It’s a life way. It’s simple surrender to His will at all places. One of the most brilliant books, you know how much I love it, The Sacrament of the Sacred Moment by De Caussade. That book is filled with this concept that it’s all about God’s will and everything comes to us by surrender.
John:
The amazing thing that that book makes is the connection between your living, walking moments and connecting to the will of God. That you don’t connect…You connect with God’s mind and will in the moment…
Martha:
Now.
John:
…now.
Martha:
Now.
John:
This very moment.
Martha:
Um hmm. Well, where is He, what is He doing? I accept that. I’m learning to live that way. Whatever comes is sovereign.
John:
Right.
Martha:
Sovereignly arranged, specifically arranged. Oh, we had an experience recently of real church. And I’m so excited about it. We had a situation that we had to get together and this was something we all needed to contribute to the decision, to the solution. Everybody knew to be involved. So we met together and…
John:
We did it quite apart from each other and then we came and talked about it. Remember?
Martha:
Oh, that’s right. Ok, you can tell that.
John:
Well, Ok. So the, the, the amazing thing was is we were in, in involved in a situation and the body all of a sudden started to function. We didn’t…There wasn’t a lot of communication between us. We just were functioning under, under that One mind and so we had decisions to make and we had…
Martha:
We had to know God’s will…
John:
We had to know God’s will and…
Martha:
…about it specifically.
John:
Exactly. And so when we got together after the fact and we all started talking and we all start…You had seen it already that we all were, were functioning under the Head.
Martha:
Yes.
John:
And that, that the Head was ruling in individual lives without those individual lives even having to sync up.
Martha:
Right.
John:
They were synched up…
Martha:
With God.
John:
…with God because He and His will was moving forward…
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
…because He had synched everybody.
Martha:
And when, when we met to bring all this out, all that we had been praying, we’d been praying fervently…
John:
Um hmm.
Martha:
…and all of this came out. Each person had a gift to contribute.
John:
Absolutely.
Martha:
And we met together and saw the solution was perfectly clear.
John:
Totally.
Martha:
What to do and how to do it. And each person, each person had their piece.
John:
Right.
Martha:
It, it reminded…This is what I’ve been praying for. I read about it in the Hebrides Revival that meetings happened spontaneously and the Holy Spirit was in charge of the meeting and no person was.
John:
Right.
Martha:
And the Holy Spirit led and every aspect that needed to come forth was under the rulership of the Holy Spirit. So actually that, that, Headship of Christ functioned among us and the most incredible thing when I began to realize what I had witnessed is that we didn’t work this out by reason or logic on any ground. We were all, seven or eight of us, listening and doing no reasoning. Reason didn’t enter into it. Logic didn’t enter into it. Our situation wasn’t the objective. The objective was the Head. What did the Head say about this? Well, when it all came together, very simply and very clearly one after another had a part and so it was resolved. Well, we all enjoyed that, that meeting. Now that was done and we, we were all together in it and all of a sudden later I realized what I had witnessed. I had witnessed the Holy Spirit dealing with each in private. Not, not coming together to deal with it. We didn’t come…As you say that’s important part of the story. You brought that out. Thank you. But when we got together, each person had been praying so they instinctively had heard God’s will and it was all perfect. But what I realized later was we had witnessed the Holy Spirit in charge of every one separately and we were together under the one Head with the one solution. There was no disharmony whatsoever.
John:
That’s why it’s tremendously encouraging to me that even if there is a major crisis that everyone, that there can be one movement functioning…
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
…under the Head.
Martha:
Yes. And one man had a solution that I, was beyond my belief. It was so clear and so simple and so perfect. And I wasn’t even thinking what he was thinking about. I wasn’t even asking God on, on his…What he got was totally unique…
John:
Right.
Martha:
…from everyone else.
John:
Right. Yeah, sure.
Martha:
Everybody was unique.
John:
Yeah.
Martha:
And…The other thing I saw that, that just about brought me to tears, I saw God’s involvement was with the individual.
John:
Yeah.
Martha:
His involvement was not with the body as such but with the body individually.
John:
Right.
Martha:
Every person met with Him individually and we came to the one mind…
John:
Right.
Martha:
…that the scripture called us to come to. But it’s Jesus’ mind.
John:
Right.
Martha:
It’s not the same thought or the same word.
John:
But, but within that we were unified.
Martha:
Yes, we were.
John:
And when we came together, we, we knew the unity.
Martha:
Um hmm. We experienced it. It, it, as you say it had already happened but the individual…That’s what so exciting. God gives me a piece that is my responsibility and then he gives it to you. When we come together, it makes a unit. Is that the right word? An organization…
John:
Yeah.
Martha:
…that God created Himself. It’s not impossible, John. It’s possible to live under the Head to that degree. I’m not saying we, we’re, we haven’t got a long way to go…
John:
Right.
Martha:
…but we did experience it, a reality that, that happened because we were looking, we were all looking to God and He met us individually. And that was so precious to me because He wants relationship. He wants us always to move in individual, private relationship and because it’s His Head it all fits into a…What was a puzzle became a picture that was crystal clear.
John:
Right.
Martha:
Isn’t that amazing? I just wanted to share it because I want it to be the prayer.

The body of Christ is intended to live in the reality of One Mind Under the Head who is Christ. This is how the body of Christ function. It is there where safety is found because it is the Will of God.
