(Martha) Ok, then I want to talk about what else I’m on, if you all go with me. I’ll just say a little insert here that people that have come to recover their will have had their whole life changed. It’s your responsibility to guard your choices and to keep your will intact, and when you do you’re free and not burdened. You’re free to live and free to choose. And God honors your choices. Ok, John has written a post, a couple of posts about praying in impudence. He’s using the, I think, the ESV. Isn’t that Luke 11, John? My version says, ‘impertinence.’ It’s Luke 11 about prayer, that the one who is impertinent gets the answer. If the man comes, and he has a friend come to visit him and he doesn’t have any bread, so he goes to his friend at midnight and says give me some bread. I’ve got to have… I don’t have any. I don’t have anything. And the man says I’ve already gone to sleep. I’m with my children in my bed, and he said you have to give it to me. You have to. And that’s the Syrophoenician woman who wanted healing for her daughter. I think it was deliverance. And the Lord said, “No, the bread is for the children,” meaning Jewish people. But she was a gentile and she said, “But the dogs eat the crumbs under the table.” She was impudent with Jesus. He had it, and she demanded it. And there’s a certain thing… One of my great weaknesses is the failure to be bold with the Lord. I can do it when the Holy Spirit’s got control of me. I can do it then. But your mother, Jennifer, prayed for me for years one word, boldness, and she was right on target. The Holy Spirit was right on target to tell her that. That was what she needed to pray. But I’m learning how wonderful it is to be bold. And this morning when I was in such despair, I cried out to Him and I said, “You have to help me out of this. I won’t live this way. I won’t live in despair.” And very shortly, in just a few minutes, I got, “Oh, this is a lie! I’m not in despair. I’m not depressed. I am not unhappy. It’s a lie.” Poof! Instantly gone. But I had to cry out to Him and reach out the Him and grab Him. Sparks, I read something in his ‘Open Windows’ recently where he said the Lord… When I have asked for healing or provision, the Lord has never let me sit down and just let Him come and give it all to me. He requires that I get up and claim it. And that’s been true in my life. It’s the cripple man, where Jesus said, “Take up your mat and walk,” or “Go wash in the pool of Siloam.” “Go and do something” to set out in faith. And that’s what happened to me in New York. I told on the podcast recently that after weeks of debilitating, oh, physical colapse, and I realized that John had faith in my healing. I said, “Oh, I’m healed,” and God said, “Get up and take a step.” When I took the step, I was so well that I could not get used to it. I could not believe it. I kept saying to John, “I’m healed. I feel wonderful. I’m healed.” I’m telling you that to say that it’s part of your stepping out in faith. Part of your faith is obeying the next thing He says after He says, “I’m going to heal you.” He sent many to the priest. He sent, He told many to go to the priest or do this or do that. In other words, you reach out for your healing like the woman who touched the hem of His robe. She was desperately sick, and I’ve always pictured her crawling on her hands and knees to get to Him, but she touched the hem of His robe. She kept after Him. You will find the Lord. Jennifer’s on this; when you seek for Him with all your heart, with all your being, with all your emotion, with all your passion. And one night I was praying for someone and the Holy Spirit just took over, and I demanded of God that the person be healed. I said, “That person is forgiven and You know it, God.” And I said, “You have to heal him.” And the Lord said, “You can’t talk to me like that.” And I said, “Yes, I can.” He said, “Good, he’s healed.” Now, and He wants our passion to meet His giving. And Sparks also talks about the provision for your ministry. He said that Jesus spent prayer at night getting the provision for what He had to do. He said even Jesus had to lay hold of, reach out and grab His provision and take hold of it. It’s like God puts it in your bank, but you have to go to the bank. You have to get up and go to the bank. You have to do what you are led to do, but there takes for most things, it takes a step out. You step out as Peter did on the water. Jesus said, “Come.” He stepped out on the water. I remember when I was, had been healed of a soft mass tumor in the intestine, and I really felt I was healed, but I still didn’t feel well, and I still had some pain. And we were at that time going to a conference at a church that was a Logos Bible software we were studying. And for lunch they served fried fish, and oh my goodness, that would just make me so sick. And the Lord said, “Eat the fish.” And I did in obedience, and I just got better and better. So there is a place where you grab it, and you go boldly before the throne of grace to find help in time of need. And we don’t have a priest who’s not familiar with pain, need, want and everything we go through; and warfare for sure. So..
(J) Well, the bastardization of that is of the “name it, claim it,” where you decide what you want and you claim it, where you’re basically saying you go and find the will, the particular… That’s why you have to be involved in the Scripture, and you have to know His will, because you say, “This is what You say. This is what has to happen, because this is truth.” You don’t say, well, you know, this is… I don’t want that so poof. No, that’s not about…. It’s about finding about the will and then you connect your will with His will and then those two wills together…
(Carole) Perhaps this goes without saying, but when John was saying that, I was thinking, and yesterday’s Word is not today’s answer necessarily; that we can’t assume that what He said yesterday for one particular situation is what He wants and what He’s leading to with the other. Wouldn’t you agree?
(J) Yeah, if I can do it without Him, then why would He bless it? I mean, the whole thing is about Him and getting to know Him. So, if you could do it without Him, you know. So, yes, absolutely.
(Carole) Martha was talking about Satan’s strategies, and I think that really in this, Isaiah 41:10, two of his strategies are very clear, and they’re very common to me. I am very familiar with these strategies, and I have not stood up often against those strategies. The first one is to say to us that He’s not with us. And the Lord addressed that. “Fear not, there is nothing to fear for I am with you.” And that is a strategy of Satan, is it not? It has been with me. Oh, and it was the day that you said that was a lie. I was feeling blank. I was really feeling like He was not with me. I certainly didn’t feel like He was in me, but that strategy is revealed in that verse. And the second one is that He is my God. “Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you,” and when Martha went through that morning, what I saw was even the stress and the anxiety that Satan brought, through that whole scenario, through that whole experience, what God was doing was fulfilling His Word “To strengthen and harden her to difficulties, to help her and hold her up and retain her with His victorious right hand of rightness and justice.” He was accomplishing His very will through the strategies of Satan.
(Martha) Umhmm. Oh, how wonderful. Exactly. Yes, yes. And I was learning from the experience and writing about it later. And in the horrific attack I had, I got rich in it, because I laid hold of the Lord, and He gave me more insight for how to pray in warfare. And I prayed a certain sequence that I saw in the Scriptures, and when I got to the end of it and thanked Him, I knew that I had the victory, that it was past tense. He has given the victory. Ok. There’s so much that He has given us. Ok, Carole, what has He given us in the heavenly realms in Ephesians NLT?
(Carole) Oh, every heavenly blessing in the heavenly realms for one thing. That covers, that covers everything.
(Martha) That covers everything.
(Carole) He has given us wisdom and understanding from above along with His lovingkindness. And I can’t even…
(Martha) He has poured out His kindness along with all wisdom and understanding. He’s poured it out. I have it. And we had this experience in France. And this Scripture in Romans 8:30. I think we’ve told it before. God gave me this verse, and I lived it for several days just my myself with Him. “For those He foreknew of whom He was aware and loved beforehand..” That’s me and you. “He also destined from the beginning foreordaining them to be molded into the image of His Son and share inwardly His likeness that He might become the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom He foreknew He also called. And those whom He called, He also justified.” Past tense. “Acquitted, made righteous putting them into right standing with Himself. And those whom He justified, He also glorified raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being.” And I have known some people long enough to know to watch them be raised to a heavenly state of dignity. That’s what God wants to give for His princes and princesses. Ok, but there’s more. “What then shall we say to all? If God be for us, who can be against us? Who can be our foe?” Nobody, if God is for my side. “He who did not withhold or spare even His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all other things?” If we could read the New Testament as a child, we would jump up and down with what we’ve been given. And we have to know it before we will receive it. Ok, Romans 8:17. “If we are His children,” Yes, we are. “then we are His heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ sharing His inheritance with Him, only we must share His suffering so that we can share His glory.” Yes, that goes in it too. But the outlandish giving of God, the position we are in, we are so far from receiving what He has given. And we have to… I got the issue, not that I am pure or righteous, but that I am righteous in Christ. I’ve got that one. When I read this is to the righteous, I say, “That’s for me,” because I know I have His righteousness. There are certain things I’ve got that are settled, and so, there’s not much attack on that can come, because I’m girded with the truth. My strength is in the fact that I have His righteousness. And I pray a lot for wisdom because I’ve got a special Scripture about wisdom being the weapon of warfare. But I realize, you keep saying to me, Carole, that He’s given us all wisdom and understanding.
(Carole) I say it to you because He said it. I mean, He says it in Ephesians.
(Martha) Right, and I just say, “Ok, where is the wisdom?” But together as a Body, just like we got it that morning, feeding on Christ as a Body, we came together to a revelation that was life changing, and is still, what do you call, rolling on and multiplying. And hopefully it will…
(Carole) And setting free.
(Martha) And setting free and hopefully it will multiply in this podcast.

As you comment Martha, “…in the horrific attack I had, I got rich in it, because I lay hold of the Lord, and he gave me more insight for how to pray in warfare…He has given the victory.” The Lord takes me to Job. Most specifically Job 42:10.

Regardless of what our own common sense or the worlds view would tell us about our circumstances, His Word (the only true reality) tells us His victory is presently available. We just have to choose to receive it. He has proven this over and over in my life (Luke 7:41-43).

He continues to encourage and speak to me through each of you. Praising Him for your faithfulness.

Tammy, thank you for that hint at Job 42.
It served me greatly in a certain situation:
