Danger Opportunity

In a dangerous time are we in a danger opportunity? Is this crisis an opportunity for His greatness? Does God have something deeper in mind?
John:
Well, I knew you wanted to do the podcast today about this book and about these, these two men and about your vision. And so I went back and, and watched the, the video with Lance and, and actually it was Will. I don’t remember seeing in this video, I don’t remember seeing Matt. But I did see Will Ford and he’s just as precious as he could be; humble man. Oh, my gosh, just humblest face and precious looking. And, and his, his heart and spirit are, are, again, just precious.
And, and so I was just listening so that I would, you know, be on the same page with you about what, about the podcast and about where we’re going and, and I was asking (the Lord), you know, “What is, what, what part do You want me to put in here? What, what, what are You wanting to say?” And some of the first things that he says are pretty amazing. And Lance said that the Lord is causing the church to come alive in the storm, that we’re currently in a storm.
I heard another video. I love, I love when he does the videos that are live, his FaceBook lives. They’re…I don’t know, he’s a funny guy. I mean I just, I, I watch him and I just, I think he’s hysterical; he’s, he kind of has a little dramatic kind of flare and occasionally he’ll just spit it out and it’s, it’s fun to, to watch. He’s, he’s, he’s not a typical preacher. He’s…
Martha:
Passionate.
John:
He’s passionate. He’s alive. He’s free. And, and he’s funny.
Martha:
And this is Lance Wallnau. W-A-L-L-N-A-U…
John:
Um hmm.
Martha:
… .com or in You Tube.
John:
Well, you can find him on YouTube and then…And you can find him, the videos, he’s got a show called, what it is called, Fire Storm (FireWall) or…? Anyway he’s got a, a show and it’s very polished. It’s in a studio and, and, and that’s one thing. But then he does these…Basically it’s been amazing. He’s…In the middle of the night usually when I wake up he’s, he’s there. Basically he gets up in the middle of the night and he does these videos where, where God’s just spoken stuff to him and he’s, he’s just funny. He’s just a neat guy.
But anyway, so he was talking about the storm and he was talking about this current storm of the economy and, and I had listened to another video of basically what he, what he believes and, and I kind of side with him about what is going on with this; why we’re experiencing the coronavirus; why we’re experiencing the persecution of the church; why we’re experiencing the economic catastrophe; why did it appear that God was putting a, a reprieve on, on a judgment for us and, and why did He wait three and a half years and then turn around and all of a sudden it comes on with a vengeance. And he as a, he has an answer for that.
But Will basically said that the, the Chinese…There’s no Chinese word for crisis. So there’s…They, they make, they make that meaning of that word, the English word, with two Chinese words. And one is danger and opportunity. And, and I, I when I was listening to that I said, “Really, truly we’re, our crisis is an opportunity.” And, and both of these guys, both Lance and, and Will both said that the danger is, they are communicating that this danger is becoming an amazing opportunity for us the church.
And, and in that other video with Lance he says that we were, the three and half years we basically were skip to my looing and building our own stuff and he says that it was a reprieve that we would build a house for the nations, that we would bring the apostolic, you know. And, and I, I agree with that. I think that’s, that’s dead on.
And the fact that, that God’s doing such a shaking right now is because He’s saying, “Wake up. I’ve given you authority. I’ve given you power. I’ve given you a mandate. I’ve given you My will. Now do it!” And we weren’t. We were sitting back. A lot of us…The church, the church is…We’re not, we’re not…
Martha:
I think we were comfortable.
John:
Yeah. And we’re been comfortable for a long time.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
And I, I told someone the other day, I said, “Well, you know, something, the church flourishes in persecution.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
It’s the only thing that does. But we, we flourish in persecution.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
And God will use it. And, and I think that’s good. And there is an element of judgment. You can’t look at this whole scenario and not believe that there’s not an element of judgment in this. That this is…You know, I’m not, I’m not going to go into the nuances because then that’s, that’s who shot Annie.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
I know Who’s over it all. I know the God who’s over it all; the sovereign God is over it all.
Martha:
Umm.?
John:
So I don’t have to, I don’t have to say, “Oh, well, you know, is He using governor Newsom to, to persecute the church and, and try to shut them down. I mean I didn’t even realize this that there’s, there’s things in, in the legislation that are able to bulldoze buildings that don’t go in compliance. That’s, that’s nuts.
And, if, you know, really the church doesn’t stand up…
Martha:
Um hmm. That sounds like China.
John:
Exactly! And if the church doesn’t stand up and, and, and be the church and we will have national persecution. They, what they’re experiencing in California we will experience everywhere. And if that happens, it will be perfect, it’ll, you know, it’s going to be awful but because Perfection is over all of it, it would be perfect. But I don’t want that. I would rather have the…
Martha:
The salvation of the nation.
John:
Yes, exactly.
Martha:
And reconciliation.
John:
Exactly.
John:
So this, this opportunity, we’re, we’ve been given an opportunity. We’ve been given an amazing opportunity to step up to the plate…
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
…to pray, to repent…
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
…to bring, to bring the apostolic calling. And not just deal with our personal little kingdoms.
Martha:
Um hmm. Establish our own ministry and…
John:
No.
Martha:
…let…
John:
That’s not what it’s about.
Martha:
Ummhm?
John:
It, you know, that may be involved. I mean, you know, I’ve been writing the, the two books. And that’s what, you know…
Martha:
And they are so timely and so needed. They are about to be in print we hope the next few months.
John:
Exactly.
Martha:
I’ve just read through your manuscript on the…
John:
The exchanged life, The Great Exchange.
Martha:
…the exchanged life, The Great Exchange. And, oh, it’s just beautiful.
John:
But the call, our call, our call lately has been to publish His praise, to exalt Him and that’s what we’ve been doing. We’ve been…There’s been things that have happened. Corona has been difficult for us and things that have happened that has hindered us from getting our stuff out there.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
There’s just been a lot going on.
Martha:
A lot of opposition.
John:
A lot of opposition.
Martha:
Distraction.
John:
Yeah, a lot of distraction. But all are opportunities. Even that has to be an opportunity,
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
If it’s a crisis, then it’s a danger opportunity. It’s an opportunity, a scenario set up for an opportunity for God to come through and show Himself strong.
Martha:
And I’ve heard one of these leaders say that this thing is going, this problem is going be solved by small units…
John:
Wow.
Martha:
…of the church and that, that would be us.
John:
Well, and the reason it would be that is because literally we’re not allowed to meet in big, big scenarios.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
It has to be small church. And maybe that’s why God’s doing it. I don’t know. I don’t have any word. I have, I have senses, and I have thoughts, and I have my own opinion, and I have, you know, some things that I have heard from the Lord but that is, you know, it’s just for me. But wouldn’t that be interesting?
Martha:
Yeah. And see, we’re going to begin soon to pray in our, our church, home church.
John:
Right.
Martha:
And I want to share our, our prayers with all of our friends on the Internet.
John:
Um hmm.
Martha:
And I hope that small groups will rise up and, and began to pray together.
John:
We have to.
Martha:
We have to.
John:
We have to pray for this nation.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
And we have to pray for the direction.
